Biography
Ahmad Tafazzoli was a prominent Iranian scholar, researcher, translator, linguist, and professor at the University of Tehran. On January 14, 1997, he was mysteriously murdered in the street on his way home in Shemiran, Tehran. He is widely recognized as a victim of the Chain Murders (قتلهای زنجیرهای), a series of politically motivated killings of Iranian dissidents.
احمد تفضلی، پژوهشگر، مترجم، زبانشناس و استاد برجسته دانشگاه تهران بود. او در تاریخ ۲۴ دی ۱۳۷۵ (۱۴ ژانویه ۱۹۹۷) به طور مشکوکی در خیابان، در مسیر بازگشت به منزلش در شمیران، تهران به قتل رسید. وی یکی از قربانیان قتلهای زنجیرهای، مجموعهای از قتلهای سیاسی دگراندیشان در ایران، شناخته میشود.
