Aida Heidari was a 23-year-old medical student at the University of Tehran who was killed by direct gunfire from security forces on January 8, 2026, in the Sadeghiyeh district of Tehran. Her mother was documented mourning her loss on their home balcony and sharing memories of her daughter's medical studies. She is honored as a 'Javidnam' or immortal soul of the Iranian protest movement.
