Farrokhzad Jahangiri was a Major Pilot in the Imperial Iranian Air Force, involved in the 1980 Nojeh coup attempt with a mission to target Ruhollah Khomeini's residence. Following the failed coup, he was detained and executed by firing squad by the Islamic Republic in July 1980.
