Biography
Hossein Saeidi was a young, orphaned street vendor from Izeh who worked to support himself and his family after his older brother, Majid, committed suicide due to poverty. He experienced the harsh realities of poverty caused by state corruption. Hossein was killed by security forces, becoming a victim of state violence during the Iranian protest movements. His 40th-day memorial was held in Izeh in January 2023, despite a heavy security presence.
حسین سعیدی جوانی یتیم و دستفروش در ایذه بود که پس از خودکشی برادر بزرگترش، مجید، به دلیل فقر، برای تامین خرج خود و خانوادهاش کار میکرد. او فقر شدید ناشی از غارتگری حکومت را با تمام وجودش لمس کرده بود. حسین توسط نیروهای حکومتی کشته شد و به یکی از جانباختگان خشونت دولتی در جریان اعتراضات ایران تبدیل گشت. مراسم چهلم او در ۷ بهمن ۱۴۰۱ (۲۷ ژانویه ۲۰۲۳) در ایذه، با وجود جو شدید امنیتی، برگزار شد.
