مهدی عباسیان ۴۲ ساله، در تاریخ ۱۹ دی ۱۴۰۴ در جریان اعتراضات ایران کشته شد. او در میدان هفت تیر نسیمشهر، استان تهران، طبق گزارشها بر اثر شلیک مستقیم مأموران جمهوری اسلامی جان باخت. یادبود او در بستر انقلاب شیر و خورشید گرامی داشته شد.
