Biography
Mehdi Baghaei was a 21-year-old resident of Isfahan who was killed on January 9, 2026, after being struck repeatedly in the head with batons by security forces. His father worked as a local mosque janitor, and the family was reportedly forced to pay 700 million Tomans to retrieve his body, a sum eventually settled with the help of neighbors and the provision of checks.
مهدی بقایی، جوان ۲۱ ساله ساکن اصفهان، در ۱۹ دیماه ۱۴۰۴ بر اثر ضربات متعدد باتوم ماموران به سرش در خیابان شهید همایی کشته شد. خانواده او که پدرش سرایدار مسجد محل بود، برای تحویل پیکر وی با اخاذی ۷۰۰ میلیون تومانی مواجه شدند که در نهایت با کمک اهالی محل و ارائه چک موفق به دریافت پیکر فرزندشان شدند.
