Biography
Mehdi Baghaei, 21, was injured on January 9, 2026, at his residence on Shahid Homaei Street in Isfahan, after being struck multiple times on the head with batons by Islamic Republic agents. He succumbed to these injuries and died on January 30, 2026. Authorities demanded 700 million Toman from his family for the return of his body, which was ultimately released after 200 million Toman was collected from local residents and the remaining amount was paid with checks.
مهدی بقایی، ۲۱ ساله، در ۱۹ دی ۱۴۰۴ در محل زندگیاش در خیابان شهید همایی اصفهان بر اثر ضربات متعدد باتوم ماموران جمهوری اسلامی به سرش مجروح شد. او در ۱۰ بهمن ۱۴۰۴ بر اثر همین جراحات جان باخت. مقامات برای تحویل پیکر او مبلغ ۷۰۰ میلیون تومان از خانوادهاش درخواست کردند که ۲۰۰ میلیون تومان آن با کمک اهالی جمعآوری شد و مابقی با چک پرداخت گردید تا پیکرش تحویل داده شود.
