مهدی باستانی، جوانی ۲۹ ساله و ساکن محله پیروزی تهران بود. او در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در جریان اعتراضات سراسری ایران به شهادت رسید. وی با شلیک مستقیم سلاح کلاشینکف توسط نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی به قتل رسید. او به عنوان یک میهنپرست جوان یاد میشود.
