Biography
Mehdi Karimi, a 30-year-old man from Gatvand, Khuzestan, was killed on January 9, 2026, around 10:30 PM. He died while fleeing from security forces during the revolutionary uprising. His body was not returned to his family and was buried at 5 AM under severe security conditions with only five attendees. His father, a retired IRGC member, refused to declare that "saboteurs" were the killers, despite authorities promising Mehdi would be recognized as a martyr if he did.
مهدی کریمی، مردی ۳۰ ساله اهل گتوند خوزستان، در تاریخ ۱۹ دی ۱۴۰۴، حدود ساعت ۲۲:۳۰ کشته شد. او در حین فرار از دست نیروهای امنیتی در جریان خیزش انقلابی جان باخت. پیکر او به خانوادهاش تحویل داده نشد و در نهایت در ساعت ۵ صبح، با شرایط امنیتی شدید و تنها با حضور ۵ نفر به خاک سپرده شد. با وجود اینکه پدرش بازنشسته سپاه بود، او نپذیرفت که عامل قتل «خرابکاران» اعلام شود، در مقابل وعده حکومتی مبنی بر شهید خواندن مهدی.
