Biography
Mehdi Salahshour, a 51-year-old sculptor and father of two children, was killed on January 8, 2026, in Mashhad. He was shot by security forces after attending protests near Park-e Mellat Square and Ferdowsi University, dying en route to the hospital. Salahshour was known for his art, having previously shared a photo of a lion sculpture he created with the caption, "My Iran, my love, I love you, wake up..."
مهدی سلحشور، مجسمهساز ۵۱ ساله و پدر دو کودک، در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در مشهد کشته شد. او پس از شرکت در تجمعات اعتراضی در نزدیکی میدان پارک ملت و دانشگاه فردوسی، با شلیک نیروهای امنیتی مورد هدف قرار گرفت و در مسیر بیمارستان جان باخت. سلحشور به خاطر هنرش شناخته شده بود و پیشتر با انتشار عکسی از مجسمه شیری که ساخته بود، نوشته بود: «ایران من، عشقی، دوست دارم، بیدار شو...»
