Biography
Minoo Majidi was a 62-year-old Kurdish Yarsani woman and mother of three living in Kermanshah. She was killed by direct gunfire from Iranian security forces on September 20, 2022, during the Woman, Life, Freedom protests. Her daughter Roya became a global symbol of resistance after a photograph of her standing at her mother's grave with her shaved hair in hand went viral.
مینو مجیدی، زن ۶۲ ساله کُرد یارسان و مادر سه فرزند، ساکن کرمانشاه بود که در ۲۹ شهریور ۱۴۰۱ در جریان اعتراضات سراسری با شلیک مستقیم نیروهای امنیتی جان باخت. پس از کشته شدن او، تصویر دخترش رویا که با سر تراشیده و گیسوان بریده بر مزار مادر ایستاده بود، بازتابی جهانی یافت. رویا بعدها با خروج از ایران، صدای دادخواهی مادرش را به گوش مقامات بینالمللی رساند.
