On January 9, 2026, he was targeted and killed with live ammunition by security forces in Mohammadshahr, Karaj. He is memorialized as a victim of state violence in the struggle for freedom.
محمدرضا قلیوند نوجوان ۱۷ ساله اهل کرج بود که در جریان جنبش انقلابی جان خود را از دست داد. او در تاریخ ۱۹ دی ۱۴۰۴ در محمدشهر کرج بر اثر شلیک مستقیم گلوله جنگی توسط نیروهای امنیتی کشته شد. از او به عنوان یکی از جانباختگان راه آزادی یاد میشود.
