Biography
Saeed Tarvand Javan was a 33-year-old oil contractor from Mehran, Ilam Province, and the father of a three-year-old son named Ariamehr. He was killed on January 8, 2026, by direct shotgun fire from security forces during protests on Amiri Street in Abadan. His body was held for five days by security forces and only released to his family after threats and heavy commitments were exacted. Authorities reportedly sought to have him declared a "martyr" and demanded a written pledge from 22 tribal elders to prevent any protest during his funeral, which took place on January 13.
