Biography
Navid Afkari was a professional wrestler and a protester during the August 2018 demonstrations in Shiraz. He was executed in Adel Abad Prison on September 12, 2020, after being sentenced to death on charges of murder and moharebeh. His case drew international attention due to allegations of forced confessions and the denial of a final meeting with his family before the sentence was carried out.
